I need a laugh (after a second negative in 3 days)
Let's talk about what the funniest (or craziest) advice you have been given during ttc? I think we have ALL heard the basic "It'll happen when it's supposed to", "You're still young", "Stop stressing and it'll happen"..etc.. I want to know the rest.. I think one of the funniest things I hear often is that when people KNOW I am married to a woman they tell me it'll just happen on it's own when the time is right. Ummmm...how many same sex couples do you know that just wind up preggo? If we did, I'd have some serious questions to answer at home!! LOL! I had a coworker that is from India tell me I should go there and get IVF. She says its much cheaper. She told me she could arrange for me to stay with someone while I was there. I know she had the best intentions but when I asked how they would feel about Chasity and I being together she told me I would have to have a bodyguard or we may be STONED!!! ahh what haven't we heard... I was told my husband needed to "man up" and just get he job done already... not really sure how much more he can "man up"? and then there are all the other bits of advice, elevate your butt, (who doesn't or hasn't done that) go on vacation (still hasn't worked) oh and my mom said to me to "just make like rabbits and have hot kinky sex." trust me sounded soooo weird coming from my mom's mouth...

Umm I was told by my MIL's friend that I wasn't getting pregnant because I was using IVF, that I needed to go back to trying it on my own. (not sure what her logic is in that since we have less than a 1% chance to get pregnant on our own) I was at the dentist the other day and she was trying to find ways that would work for me to have a baby and she said I should just higher a surrogate from a middle eastern country because they're cheap. My friend told me to buy a vaginal cup to keep the sperm in me after sex then I'd get pregnant, I never tried that one.

LOL this is a great topic - thanks for the laughs!! My personal favorite was a friend of MIL (who was tipsy when we had this conversation). It wasn't advice to get pregnant, but rather to ward off the people who want to know why I wasn't yet by my second anniversary. She said you just have to tell people that you'll get to it eventually but you're just having too much fun practicing right now!!!

My mother told me I could use some of her eggs. It was obviously a comment that she hadn't thought through, she was just desperate to think of ways I could have babies and she could have grandchildren. I told her "ewww no. I will not have children that are actually my siblings fathered by MY husband!" lol. She laughed about it later, but the idea still weirds me out lol

My wife and I went on vacation and a friend of mine who knew we were trying said "it would be so cool if you got pregnant in Mexico!"... just like thelowes I'm not sure that would happen seeing as we are both women and hooking up with a local on our honeymoon is probably frowned upon... :)

I was told multiple times by a 70 year old lady that I work with to "just get drunk". LOL that would definatley solve our azoospermia issues. why didn't the doctors think of this one. LOL
