Worst pain of my life!

Ladies, I need your help. I am doubled over in pain. My pain feels like its in my uterus area. Right above my pubic region. It started a few hours ago but is getting worse and worse. I'm able to have bowel movements so I know it's not that. And, its worse than when my cyst ruptured an in a different spot. I am terrified to take anything as we just inseminated twice. I can call my dr but they will just tell me to go to the ER. Figured before I go there I'd try you ladies.
Thanks in advance :) Posted on 08/09/12, 09:14 pm |

Have you been diagnosed with endometriosis? I get pain like that every now and then when i have an endo. flare up. If you can call your Dr., i would. Maybe she would at least be able to tell you what is okay to take pain wise in case it gets bad enough to have to go to the ER. I am so sorry you are in pain!

I don't have endo that I know of. I've never had the "typical" symptoms of it, but you never know.
I am thinking it could be cysts again since we didn't monitor this cycle with ultrasound, but again, it's different. Thank you for replying :)

I had a similar pain right after i ovulated and had to actually leave work it was that bad.... I went to a walk in clinic and they said i was constipated (same as you i knew that wasn't it) and my ovaries were in hyper drive from the clomid. The only thing i did was have a heating pad and advil and sleep... I think you might be ok to take tylenol but can you call the pharmacist and see if they can say if something would be safe to take and what?

Thanks cidekmat! I am thinking the heating pad may be what I try. I did a hot bath, but no relief :(. I'm a little afraid of trying the heating pad because it's not safe when pregnant, but if I were it wouldn't have implanted yet.
(it's not constipation..trust me..i had Mexican for dinner, so all is working well in that area..lol) Thanks dear! :)

With IVF we are able to take pain meds like tylenol with codeine. Maybe you could at least take something like that. I don't know what the pain could be but if it lasts you should consult your dr and not take a chance. It could also be something not IF relatef like your apendix or a blader infection.
Hope you feel better,

I hope you are feeling better! I had cysts rupture twice - the pain was MUCH worse the second time. I'm an err on the side of caution kind of girl, so I'd go to the doctor/ER. I don't think they'd jump into anything that could jeopardize a possible pregnancy.
Sending good wishes your way!

no worries and you can adjust the temp of the heating pad to give just enough relief without "cooking the egg" so to speak... and so far most of the net says tylenol or acetominaphen is ok also..... and the other thing that works well for me and may sound weird is tummy and back rubs from hubby one of the best things for when i have endo pain.. probably the heat friction and movement from the touch is what helps
hugs hope it gives you some relief.

I agree with aristen.I have had cyst rupture and the pain was indescribable. I'd say after a hot bath, try Tylenol, a lightly warm heating pad and sleep. If you don't feel better by the am, go to the Dr! Your health is the most important thing.
