I've turned into a pizza. Stress, hormones, AF, more stress. I'm going out of my mind. I've always had great skin, (toot toot, it was always my compliment) and now, i'm embarrassed to even leave the house! I'm in my 2ww,so i'm crossing my fingers that it's due to being pg, but if its not, i cant go another month looking like this!

I'm interested in trying proactiv, because it seems the pharmacy/otc stuff isnt cutting it. Is it safe to use while pg or ttc? Has anyone seen results?

Any other suggestions? Something that has worked for you? Any and all advice would be great! Thanks!

" Good luck on the 2ww! Ask your doctor before you use anything because you don't know how potent that stuff is. Plus you might want to consider waiting because if you get pregnant your skin might just clear up! Sounds crazy I know, usually the oppositebut when I was pregnant with my first my skin was beautiful! "

" You should ask your dr first. I used it for many years in the past and it worked well. I had/have skin issues that are actually from yeast overgrowth, so the proactiv only helped with acne.
My younger sister suddenly started breaking out this summer and I told her to get some. She did and her skin looks great. Infact, she just asked me to pick some up for her since she is away at college!

Good luck! I hope it is b/c you are pregnant!! :-) "

" I'm not sure if this is helpful...but I got sucked into the ProActiv bit last year and all it seemed to do is make my skin even worse! I used it and used it and it wasn't helping at all! Finally I decided to stop using it on my face, and guess what...I stopped breaking out! Guess it's only compatible with certain skin types.... "

" proactiv was horrible for me, I'm a long time acne sufferer. I find that you need to use skin care that has no preservatives or harsh detergents, use witch hazel, and eat apples or drink apple juice every day. Also I like tea tree products, and I can't use conditioner in my hair because it's too greasy. I use Aussie spray in conditioners instead. Read ingredients always, and if the list looks bad to you it probably is. I'm not 100% clear, but it does make a big difference. "

" I love Proactive! Worked great for me, but the makers of Proactive actually recommend that you do not use it during pregnacy b/c there have been no studies as to the dangers. If nothing else ask your MD. Congrats on the pregs!!! "
