My doctor told me to get some progesterone suppositories to help maintain pregnancy if in fact I do get pregnant. Problem is...I can't seem to find them anywhere?? Anyone know where I can find progesterone at and for anyone that has tried this same thing...what day did you start taking them? I'm supposed to do an iui this cycle, so would i start them before or after the iui?? Thanks for any info you might have!

" I don't know that you can get the with out a prescription. I have taken then several times & they have always been prescribed by the dr. You usually start then\m a day or so after ovulation or in your case after the IUI. Ask your Dr, I don't believe these are over the counter meds.

GOOD LUCK with the IUI!

" I had to have mine prescribed as well. Be careful though, the generic brand is cheaper, as with any drug but the REGULAR is so much more worth the $50 copay. The generic was a glycerin suppository, had to be refrigerated, did not come wiht applicatiors...sorry for TMI but it was so hard to insert sans applicator, you could feel it slipping out cuz it was cold and it was SO messy I had to wear a pantiliner the entired time due to the greasy discharge. The REAL deal, the endometrium, was SO much better, a tablet (yes), not cold (yes), and an applicator for EVERY insertion (I had to take 3/day). Good luck! "
