Advice:
CCCT (clomiphene citrate challenge test)?

I was wondering if this is a standard test done in the beginning of any treatment? I've read that is a good test to determine if my eggs are good, etc. and that if the test comes back with bad results, most clinics won't even do IVF on you with your own eggs? I'm making myself a little crazy now, still have over a week to go to meet with RE. DH and I had a discussion, he says we either have a baby that has both our genes or we adopt. He wouldn't want to go the donor egg route....

" Ok so I guess this IS the Clomid test. "clomiphene" must be the technical term for Clomid. Little do I know. lol
Misypris, did you have to take it for that long to find out if your eggs were ok? "

" No and that's the scary part about it. They never did an u/s on me prior to taking clomid and they only did one u/s on during my last round. They did a progesterone test every month to check my levels and prior to taking any meds, they did a bunch of blood tests. They diagnosed me with PCOS, so I've been trying to deal with that AND my infertility all at once. I've gone through 1 round of infertility treatments and have had many u/s because of that. From what I understand, my eggs are fine...well as fine as they can be for having PCOS. "

" I took the challenge test. My RE did all the preliminary tests on my DH and myself, which were all normal. So they suggested the challenge test to check my FSH level which checks your ovarian reserve. Basically, they did bloodwork on cycle day three and cycle day 10 after I took Clomid for five days. If your FSH level is elevated on either cycle day, it can indicate a diminished ovarian reserve, which means your egg quality or quantity can be poor. "

" I am in the process of taking my clomid challenge too. I took my day 3 labs today and I take my day 10 labs next Thursday. I'm scared. Good luck to you. "
