I have been on Clomid 50mg, 100mg, 150mg and they went back to 100mg. I have been taking clomid for a year this month. I have done the u/s and the trigger shots and still BFN every month. Now they are doing what the call a clomid challenge on me. I guess I am a little confussed, what are they looking for??? I know my ovarain function, but what are they looking for???? If anyone have ever do this please share with me what they are looking for. I have been trying for alomst two years now and it is still unexplained why I can not get pg. Thanks

Usually the clomid challenge test is the FIRST thing they do when starting clomid. They look at your estrogen and FSH to help determine where your specific problem lies. You can google it to get specifics. I'd be a little concerned that after a YEAR on clomid they're just now doing these very basic infertility tests....and a year is a long time to be on clomid. I'd consider a second opinion or seeing a RE if you're not already. Good luck!

I did it....I wouldn't hold too much to that test. They check your FSH on like day 3 and then after you have taken the Clomid to compare the numbers. Suposedly I failed and they weren't sure I was going to respond to the Clomid, and then at my scan I had 3 mature follicles, so she was like "oh you are responding". Hence, the not holding much to that test!
Although, I would definitley say doing a year of Clomid isn't so good. I have heard 6 months or less.

Thanks so much for the posts. My husband and I have decided that we are going to get off all the meds for a while, if I don't get a BFP this month. I went for an u/s on Monday and had two mature follicles so I had a HCG trigger shot. I was suppost to OV last night. I am having some cramping today. Figures crossed that I finally get my BFP this month.
