Normal Testosterone Isn't Normal

This is my first time posting here. For the last 15 years my husband has seen 5 different doctors that tested his testosterone and told him he was normal. The charts from the lab the doctors where using was not based on his age. He was left untreated all these years with low T level (265) for his age. Doctors do not want to treat low T. We now have a doctor that finally listened to us and is willing to treat him. Its only been 10 days he has been treated, but I think I will get my husband back. My husband is being treated with AndroGel. On there website I copied the test results for different ages. I hope it can be helpful to others. I just wish it didn't take so long for us to get a diagnoses. Low T lowdown: Do you know your T levels? Your doctor should periodically monitor your T levels. This can help you see if you're where you need to be. Using AndroGel every day may bring your T levels into the normal range. Although levels vary with age, T levels between 300 ng/dL and 1100 ng/dL are considered to be in the normal range for an adult male. Cinnamint: thank sfo rshairng this. I am 25 years old and have been suffering from ED for teh past 7 yrs. never tok action - i guess we all want to avoid unpleasant things in life.
Recently went to my doc and he said my testesterone was 148 (low ene dof normal!). however like you, i did my research and found that to be low for my age - that answrs my low sexual drive and energy levels. I have started on Androgel a few days ago and hope to see my positive rsults soon.

I would love to here how you do on it. I have been getting the emails from Androgel that tell us what we should be feeling at the end of our first month. We signed up for the coupons ($240 savings) so they email us now. So far I don't think my husband energy is up yet but he has had morning erections sometimes with a little desire. Thats knew for us. It's only been 11 days since he started. I think it said 30 days we should notice a difference.

My husband has never talked to people in the past about his problem. Now that he is on medication he has started to talk. Two of his friends have lower T than he has and their doctors say they are normal even though they also have all the symptoms. We have sent them some information to take to there doctors too. It just makes you so made that the doctors don't know this stuff and the effect it has on the health.
Its almost three weeks now. My husband is doing so much better. He has desire and firm erections. It is like he is getting younger everyday. He has not made any sexual advances in years until Androgel. It is nice that sex is not a chore for him anymore. I don't think his energy is normal yet. Maybe it is to soon.

Your husband needs to get some form of excercise preferably aerobic, in order to increase his energy level. The testosterone will help with that.

I did get him to the gym once this week. He only lasted 15 minutes with his workout. I will tell him you said he needs more. Thanks!
