Currently I am using Cialis inconjuction with Testogel. Have been able to achieve semi erection and still dry ejulation and orgasam. Doctor has suggested using either injection or a pump. Have others used a pump to achieve and maintain an erection, is it safe?

I used the pump for about a year after my radical prosectimy. It was cumbersome to use, but it did work most of the time. Problems occurred when I sometimes could not get vacuum. Also, had to learn how to move the rubber cock ring off the adaptor onto my cock. Then had problems when the pump was not large enough to accommodate my cock. The company was very good about sending another. Getting replacement rubber cock rings was a bit of a problem. Not all drug stores carry them, and sizing for fit was sometimes embarrassing.
But, all in all, my wife got excited watching me use it to get erect. We still use now an then to help keep the blood passages flowing. Drawbacks are that the penis is cooler than without the pump and sometimes the ring bothers my wife during penetration. Give it a try and good luck. Get one with the battery powered pump vice the manual ones.

I have been using the ErecAid vacuum pump which my urologist prescribed for about six weeks now. It is an effective remedy for ED in my case, although certainly not ideal. It makes for a very fat erection of which my wife approves. Coolness is not an issue. Logistics are a little problem because it takes several minutes to get it prepared. I have a manual model which is perfectly adequate. Moving the ring off of the pump onto the penis is easily done. However, it "snaps" onto the penis somewhat "violently" which I dread each time. Also, on the positive side, I have found that when I create a really good erection with the device, orgasms are 300 percent better than when I was using drugs only; I suppose it is because there is a lot more blood in the penis. Too, the process of pumping blood into the penis, is in itself stimulating. I have had no problem creating enough vacuum with the manual pump. Getting replacement rings online from the manufacturer is not difficult IMHO. Bottom line, for me the pump works and it is certainly better than drugs only. I will not rule out going to injections down the road, however.
