I can have an erection, but am unable to ejaculate or orgasm, while taking antidepressant meds. Good sensation with the nipples, and faiurly good sensitivity with the penis, but am unable to ejaculate and have an orgasm. Any suggestions on what I should take to fix this problem?? I already take Prozac, and Wellbutrin. Can become quite erect with Cialis.

" Antidepressants can really mess with the erection and orgasm. You should tall to your doctor to see if there are options out there to replace your current meds. It's bad enough dealing with the depression but having the sexual side effects just compound the problem. Almost worth being off the depressants and enjoying the erection and orgasm. Good luck to you! "

" I have read that Prozac is pretty bad for sexual functioning, while Wellbutrin sometimes actually helps it when it's not neutral. i'd suggest seeing if you can quit the Prozac and just go on Wellbutrin.

Be warned, that it can take the body MANY MANY MANY months to recover from antipsychotic/mood/antidepressant medicines.

Also, if you are overweight or consume lots of fat, it can affect your metabolism--even sexually.

I have a friend who claims that it takes about 2 YEARS for the body to fully recover from strong chemicals introduced into the body. Medicines are very strong chemicals.

Good luck. Maybe try Levitra. It seems a better choice for chem-induced sexual dysfunction. "

" The bigger question, as I see it, is that depression cab cause exactly the same kind of sexual dysfunctions that anti depressents can cause.

There are many many different anti delpressents available for a reason. Side effects may be totally different from one person to another. Ask the doc for help. He may have other alternatives. I am a 73 year old, taking Zoloft, and can ejaculate, but cannot get an erection, even with the ED meds. I had the ED before I started on the anit-depressents. "

" It could be both the depression and the meds. That would be a compound problem. It's best to reduce all of the potential causes. So that would be to reduce/eliminate the depression and to reduce/elimate or change the antidepressant medication, and then ALSO to take the other sexual dysfunction tests and exams and ALSO to do everything else to promote healthiness that affects sexuality (diet and exercise, reducing stressors/meditation, losing weight, getting plenty of regular sleep, not doing illegal drugs).

Statistically, zoloft produces more sexual side effects than wellbutrin. That's pretty much corroborated all over the web by doctors and by doctors in real life. "
