Hi everybody, Today I have joined this group.I am from Mumbai,India. I was diagnosed IgA deficient in 2002 and I was almost Ok till 2006 with minor GI infections, which necessitated occassional antibiotic doses as and when required. In 2007, I was diagnosed with pneumonia and again in 2008 and 09, I got it. In these 3 years, I had very frequent fever and cold and cough problems, which was not so common in earlier years.
My physician says that I am picking up infections from others and has advised me to avoid going to crowded places like movie theatre, Malls or public places.I have also been adviced to avoid Air travel unless it is very important. This has resulted in a very isolated life for me and I am virtually cut-off socially . Any advice Posted on 08/21/09, 07:08 am |

I'm sorry for your problems. I can definitely relate and I have no social life. I might as well be dead. Wish you the best.
