I am trying to get scheduled for a Laproscopic Supracervical hysterectomy but my doctor just called and told me that the part that removes the uterus is on a National Recall!!!!!!! They are re-creating the part as we speak but no one in the country has this part. This is crazy! my option is to wait, or have an abdominal hysterectomy. At this point, I am willing to the abdominal...... Just wanted to share this..... unbelievable

Wow that IS crazy isn't it...!?
I guess the decision to have an abdominal hyst or not would depend on how desperate you are to have it done, and on how long you would have to wait for the part to come in....? lol It's silly that you have to even consider this.!? Sharon

i am scheduled on 11-11-09 for a Laproscopic Supracervical hysterectomy. I decided I wanted him to remove my cervix and he changed my surgery to the RALH. Hmmm I wonder if that is the reason he changed it.
