im not due to have an hysterectomy until about jan nxt year as its a 18wk waiting list so ive got plenty of things to worry about at the moment im all over the place one minute im ok nxt crying nxt shouting so thats doing my head in ( i think this is caused as ive finished the prostrap injections so hormones are getting back to normall). anyway iwas just wondering if any women have had everything taken away and if so do they feel any different do they have to do anything before sex im 30yrs old and really worried about this as all sorts is going through my head ie it will be so un sexy to use ky jelly etc. im so scared of not feeling like a woman after the op. thanks jaime xx

Oh my. How did I forget to share this info for after the surgery. Buy stool softener tablets ahead of time. Sometimes the hospital will not let you go till you have one. I didn't there, did a day or so after going home. I was crying & yelling for my hubby to go get sometime right then. They will help. That first time or two was a killer on me. Stomach cramps like you wouldn't believe & then it's all good again. Bad memory.

Wish I could add a positive experience with Sex after a hysterectomy but for me unlike the others its not been a wonderful experience..... Its not the light soreness you feel after the doc ok's you to resume intercourse after your post op checkup..... as that resolves itself in time, and being very gentle..... lol For me I do feel changed.....the intimacy with my hubby was great before my op, but now it all feels different... I feel altered and even like damaged goods..... this isn't to say you will feel the same as I'm betting you wont.... it seems to be just me..... sad really..... but good for the rest of you...... xxx If you want to know more Let me know....
