Hello all! Quick question. It seems that my gyno forgot to take out some stitches in 2 of my incisions. Only a tiny bit is poking through my skin and it's the black kind, so they;re not the ones that disolve. When I went for my 2 week checkup he did remover the stitches from the other incisions but my skin healed quickly and I guess he didn't see the other ones that were there. Like I said, only a tiny little bit is sticking out, you can feel the stitch when you move a finger over the scar, but it's hard to see. Is it dangerous to leave these in? I'm afraid I'll have to get cut open again to get the stitches out. How could a Dr. forget where he put stitches? Don't they write stuff down in my chart or something? ~heather

" I dont know how your Dr forgot to remove all your stitches but your body is doing the normal thing and rejecting something thats not suppose to be there. Its like when you have a hysterectomy, you have stitches on the inside as well and that why they tell you, you will have a discharge and it may not smell to nice for a while. Thats stitches disolving. You need to call your Dr and have him remove the remaining stitches that were left. I'm not sure what he will do but make the call and let tham know what is going on...Good luck and let us know what he says!...Hugs Staci "

" That is soooo not right. He should be the one to pay for the visit at his cost and for any meds you may need to help with infectoins. Wow..I cant believe that! and OUCH! to cause you more pain than you have been through. A sorry just doesnt cut it and it shouldnt for you. I would put a comment in that you shouldnt have to pay for this...Keep me posted on what happens. Your suppose to keep infection down right now. Not have your Dr give it to you because of his careless mistake. Thats what scares me about Dr's. You cant see inside yourself so you have to trust them. I hope everything turns out good for you..lots of hugs...Staci "
