Im now on week 3 after TAH, week 1 & 2 were good, very little pain...but now? Bloody hell...scar tissue pain is dreadful.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers!

" I totally understand. Unfortunately, until the scabs under the scar tissue dissolves, it's gonna hurt. The itching part will practically drive you nuts. I have no idea why it itches when you heal. My hysterectomy was in 2008, as of June 27th, it will be one year. The scar I can take, but when this thing itches, OMG! For pain I take Vicodin ES and Valium on a set schedule to reduce the increase and decrease of medication in my system (also to prevent addiction or overdosing).

A very gentle rub down with pure coco butter and shea butter lotions can bring some soothing relief. The pain from the scab beneath the scar will start to decrease after a few months when the body begins to reabsorb it. "
