" I started on Premarin the lowest dose and I had to have my gyn raise mine as well. I take .9mg and after a couple weeks I noticed a huge difference. I dont have hot flashes and cold sweats really bad in the middle of the night any more. I still have them but they arent as bad as they use to be....lol That was horrible. How long have you been taking your raised dosage? I was told it takes a couple weeks to get through your system good. At least thats what my gyn said and he was right for me anyways. "

" Thank you, I started on the lowest dose 2 weeks after I got out of the hospital, had it raised, been now 3 weeks,I noticed a change but nothing major, Its always worse at night, since I live in Az its hot all the time so that doesnt bother me during the day. Im just concerned about having it raised again. I have blood clot history and all kinds of stuff like that in the family and just was tested to see if I have that gene, thats why Im so concerned about having the meds raised again. silly I know. "

" It's not silly at all. I know when my gyn first put me on it I wasnt sure if I really wanted to take premarin. You hear different stories and of course the side effects of taking it for so long. I thought, " I have to take this for 12 years?" Since I'm 38 and menopause isnt till around 50yrs he siad I would be on premarin till then. Your health comes first and if premarin isnt working for you and they have to up it again I would be asking for another alternative. My sister in law gets hers from a health store but I would hate to go back to the hot flashes till I found what works for me. Good luck and take care. I hope this works for you. "

" I have used various HRT treatment and I still had hot flashes...true sometimes it wasn't as bad as other times but it was still annoying :) My doctor has since taken me off all of them because of the cancer link so I have managed on my own now for 6 years. "
