Hi, Just had my hysterectomy for endo. Been about 8 days now. Was doing good for about 4 days, was down to 2 pain meds on the 6th day. But then all of a sudden, I got sharp pains a couple nights ago. Been pretty painful since. my lower back & buttocks are hurting again, and I have sharp-like pains in my lower abdomen. I'm a little warm, but no fever. Is this normal?? To go from good to worse. Pls say this is part of the healing process, kinda sporadic instead of gradual..

I was like that also. I had my surgery on the 6th of may. Was feeling ok than all of a sudden WAM.Was horrible. My back and hips were killing me. Along with soo many other pains. It does get a little better. I still have the pains that come on strong but the doc said that is normal. Just dont over do it. You have to remember that "stuff" was taken out and all the other parts are just hanging now looking to settle in. It does get a little easier. After 3 weeks Im still uncomfortable,Feel better it will get easier

Your back and hips.. sounds like me. I had my lap back in oct-08; and the pain never went away. I'm just afraid sometimes this will be the same. Just hoping, hoping, hoping this hysterectomy will do it. My boss was constantly pestering me.. will this CURE it? Will you be healthy when you get back? But then he's a HE. He never took me seriously when I was in pain. Sorry for the negativity..

I know what ou aren going through. I had to go on FMLA from my work place. I had very tough job pulling and pushing 200 lbs up and down ramps all day. I was a route driver. They thought since I was talking just fine and could hold conversations the pain was not bad and they wondered why I wasn't back to work yet. With my endo I was bed riden for 4 months til my hysterectomy. I went through hell with mine.Wit all the narcotics I was taking I was told the pain meds wouldnt help much. Boy, they were so mright. In recovery I was screaming in pain. You will have days you feel better than others. Make sure you dont over do it. I took one day at a time. I so hope your lower back pain goes away. I had my hyst. in Feb 09 and mine has not yet.
