Well, its getting closer to my surgery date and Im getting a little nervous. I went to see my dr the other day and he was talking about my surgery and then all of a sudden asked me why we were doing a vag hyst. I said I dont know, you are the one who decided, well that wasnt good enough for him so he said he wanted to examine me and do an endometrial biopsy, well, with my uterine lining not being there from the ablation, it hurt like hell. So now hes decided that my cervix is too high up for a vag hyst so hes now doing a laparoscopic supracervical hyst. He states though that there is a 50/50 chance he will have to open me up. I think the not knowing makes me crazier. I go to the hospital tomorrow for my pre admission testing ect...yikes..

" On my third visit with my gyn-onc, she asked why I didn't want to keep my ovaries. I felt like shouting, "You're the one who convinced me that it would be better to take them out!" I calmly said that we had decided this together, and she agreed, "Yes, it's probably better to remove them." That incident shook my confidence a little, but I decided she was just distracted because she was leaving on vacation that day. When I saw her on surgery day, she seemed sure and confident about the procedure, and everything went smoothly. For me, the anxiety beforehand was the worst part of the whole thing. "
