" Hey ren, I'm in exactly the same boat.....! I'm worried about the same thing...!

I had my hysterectomy 9 weeks ago and had my cervix removed and one ovary as well.... and have attempted intimacy 3 times only since then. I am having the same worries as that your questions poses...and cant reach the big O anymore.....!

I'm very depressed about this as I need my cervix to be able to have one it seems, and I now feel damaged and altered....
I'm not telling you this to scare you, but it is the honest truth for me at this time.... I'm hoping that other women will come on here and relate their experiences with this too...... I need answers as well and thank you for having the nerve to ask ha ha!!

When is your surgery.? What type are you having, removed through the vagina etc.?
Feel free to contact me and ask me anymore questions... Take care and hugs to you....

" By the way Ren,
I read on the internet that there is three different ways a woman has an orgasm ; and that is (1) with the uterus & cervix contracting, (2( vaginally, and (3) clitorally....
If you are like me and reached orgasm the first way I'm assuming that we have to find other ways to adapt...... help anyone out there...?
Take care, Sharon "

" Hi Ren! Shazzca is right... there are many ways to climax. Even if your cervix is removed you still have your G-spot on the inside vaginal wall, which gives orgasms. It may take a while for the sensation to come back, because the surgery will cause tissue swelling and temporary nerve damage as everything is healing inside. It is just temporary and from what I've read the sensations do come back. I have read that it could take up to 6 months for some people. Just be patient and don't give up trying! That's the fun part! ;-) It seems that the biggest difference in orgasms without a cervix is the contractions of the uterus and cervix that make the tingle of the orgasm keep lingering... you know that don't touch me, it's REALLY sensitive feeling just afterwards. Apparently, women report that you orgasm and then bam the sensation is over, but they also report that because that extreme sensitivity following orgasm is missing, they are able to have multiple orgasms with shorter intervals in between. I am not an expert... just an avid reader. I cannot speak from personal experience, as I am single and haven't had sex in years! LOL...
