I did'nt have any emotional stress after mine but i do suffer severe PMS since my Hyster 4 yrs ago i do have a small amount of my right ovary left just for my sake as i didnt want to go on hrt or anything for that matter as i had been always taking something, see your Dr i think couselling goes hand in hand with medication, I do hope you feel better soon, as for the crying and babies, i still sometimes get an urge or a sad feeling specially now as my 3 children are getting older but it passes so if its not passing and affecting your life please see your DR
Take care Cel :)

I'd put money on your hormones being out of whack as a piece of the puzzle (uterus) is missing. Does this cycle? That info would be helpful in deciding what to do. It may take a few different formulas but you will get relief.
If your doc is not amenable go see an endocrinologist and cover all hormonal bases.

I just had a hysterectomy 4 weeks ago. I cry if I see a bunny rabbit outside or a song (not sad...even happy songs). I cry for no reason at silly things. My doctor said the surgery sometimes "shocks" the ovaries and they go to sleep. He said it will get better and that I should give it 3 months. You are 9 months out, so I would talk to him/her about it. Maybe you need something else or something in addtition to the antidepressants. Plus, I can see where the sight or sound of a baby could be upsetting, as it is a reminder of what you have been through and can no longer go through. A hysterectomy is so much more than just removing an organ from our body. You are still very much a woman and have a life to live. You only get one life... make it yours... make it the best it can be. Have the life you always wanted... and be the woman that you always wanted to be. Be kind to yourself, as kind to yourself as you would be to others. And know that you are never, ever alone no matter what you are feeling or going through. Hugs to you... :)
