" Unfortunatly there is no quick recovery. Its a major surgery and all you can do is rest and when your body tells you to stop you need to listen or it will make it a longe recovery and it could do more harm than good. Good luck with your hysterectomy. Its funny how Doctors dont tell you everything you go through post op. You have to find out for yourself. If you have stairs you cant walk up and down them the first couple weeks. I had to stay upstairs thank god the bathroom is up there but the kitchen wasnt! my kids had to help me...lol
Its not much advice but if you have any other questions just ask away! "

" They are right. your uterus may not be able to be removed through the vagina and thats why the safer way is abdominal. I had an enlarged uterus and my gyn did mine abdominal and I had my ovarys removed as well. I know its a hard recovery versus other ways of having a hysterectomy but you'll be feeling better before you kow it. "
