Update! &Question about levels changing w/habits?

Hey everyone,

First things first my apologies for not updating everyone sooner. I have to say for the past six weeks my anxiety had* subsided a great deal. I was feeling much better and things were going good.

My latest doctor's appointment went well too. My TSH levels went from 9.4 to 3.2! And my cholesterol took a drop. I have to admit things really started getting better when I took my levothyroxine at night...I think because I was taking the medicine right (no food, no milk, and enough water).

Okay so here's the question. My anxiety returned earlier this week, waking up way too early with a huge nervous stomach, always worrying about the future, and freaking out about things I shouldn't. It's not as bad as it has been before, but it's still pretty bad. Recently however, the past 10 days or so..I've started eating some late night snacks before my levothyroxine...would that cause a change in levels enough to trigger a return of my anxiety?

What do you guys think?

Thanks for everything, this website is so helpful!

" It could be the snacks....when are you eating? Is it within an hour of takin the meds? If not it could be stress, stress really affects my levels more than anything else! Barring those two things I'm not really sure and it would be the best to ask the doctor. Do you think its possible that you actually have an anxiety disorder? Maybe being hypo was just making it worse and more pronounced? Honestly though, I'm not too sure and as I said its best to ask a doctor.... "

" Oh I am happy you are feeling a lot better :) Maybe this was just a fluke, we all can have bad days. Hopefully they are fewer and further between! "

" Yea recently it has been within an hour. I know. I know. I took for granted how much better I felt. I think I am going to wait a week see if I get better taking the meds right, if not I will go to the doctors. "

" I may have dropped in on this at a weird time, but could you please explain to me why you started taking your meds at night? I always thought that I was supposed to take it during the day because it could disrupt sleep patterns. Why did you change?
Thank you,
JK "

" My doctor said it was fine to take at night if I can't fit it in with breakfast and what not. For some people it may disrupt sleep and give them an additional boost of energy, but it has not for me. "
