I pretty much asked the same thing in my questions. I've been on Synthroid for 4 years and have now been diagnosed with Roseacha and have to use Metrogel, which..so far is not working well but I just started it so giving this some time.
Hormone inbalance alone can cause breakouts (remember teen years) Hating mine and praying to get it under control soon, I am 36 years old and would love to be able to go out and enjoy myself without these big spots and blister like breakouts. I'll check your post after more has replied, I would like to see their answers too.

I gotta say, my skin has changed over the years. I didn't have a lot of break outs as a teen or when I was in my 20s so this is taking some getting use to at 43. LOL. I have been taking Synthroid for 13 years now and noticed changes in every aspect of my life. Things I do to try and keep my skin looking its best; drink plenty of water, follow healthy eating plan, and when my skin feels dry I use Jojoba Oil. Talk with your doctor and let her/him know what changes you are noticing.
I will check back on your post for more suggestions :)

These breakouts, are they itchy or more pimple like? If they are itchy it could be that you have an allergy to the medication. I havent had problems like pimples from synthroid, actually it helped to clear up my exczema to some degree, apparantly the hormone imbalance was causing my exczema to flare up. If it is pimple like, try not to wash your face too often or use harsh acne products they will only make ot worse when your skin is dry it actually will produce more oil which causes more breakouts!. When you do wash your face make the water as cool as you can stand it and try to use a non irratating cleanser like cetafil or even unscented dove. Make sure to moisturise your face right away after washing.
If I have a particularly bad pimple coming on I do have a remedy I will use on occasion. Toothpaste! Before bed put a small dab of toothpaste on the blemish and leave it there overnight, from experience I found the gel like toothpaste doesnt work just the white chalky kind. Anyway it seems to diminish the blemish pretty well by the time you wake up and wash. I really don't know why this works but, it seems to help. Good luck to you. I hope it clears up soon.

I've never had a problem with my skin before. Even as a teenager I had very few pimples. I already use cetaphil to wash. I moisturize everytime I wash my face. I don't know if this is from the synthroid or something else. I drink alot of water and use sunscreen. I'm pretty diligent about my skin care. (you only get one face) I'me trying to rule things out to figure out what the problem is. Thanks for all your imput.
