" Hello, trixies2s and Jan, I have the same hot flashes, sweats AT NIGHT but I didn't know if it could be menopause or this disease. This disease causes so much discomfort it's hard to tell. I just know it's NOT all normal even if the docs tell us it's so or they ignore the symptoms.

One idiot doc said that "it is normal" to have dry eyes and a dry mouth. Either she's stupid or she needs to go back to school.

Her PA had the guts to increase my dose and now no more dry eyes and mouth. I told the Pa this and he didn't respond but I wanted him to know how stupid his colleague is.

They never want to admit that they don't know how to treat this disease. They could at least admit it and say well let's try this INSTEAD OF doing nothing at all!!

I still don't know what it's from, humm.
No longer energylost. "

" hi,
I get hot flashes to the point that I am dripping sweat, and I also have cold flashes where I am freezing. I go from having myself all bundled up and then have to strip. Its nuts. I am trying to adjust to all the hypothyroidism symptoms I have and this is just one of the many. "

" It's extra-challenging when we get hit with hypothyroidism and menopause at the same time. Less than a year after a partial thyroidectomy, I entered menopause... it's like being run over by a truck! Freezing cold most of the time, and then suddenly literally pouring sweat. Waking up every single night with the sheets soaked. At my next appt. with the endochrinologist, my first question will be "what's up with that???"
It's nice to know I'm not alone in this.
At least during a hot flash, I stop noticing the joint pain... "
