I was on Armour, but just couldn't get it right. So now am on 175mcgs of T4. Taking B12, Vitamin C, multivitamin and mineral supplement.
Am feeling really great, pulse is 68 to 72, bloodpressure around 120 over 70s. I had Graves and RAI ablation in 2004. Posted on 07/03/09, 07:07 am |

Did you have B-12 problems? How long did it take to feel better from supplementing it?
I'm glad you're feeling great! :-)

That's great bm55! I also had RAI a year ago and feel pretty terrible since with all the hypo symptoms. What T4 supplement are you taking? I'm on 125 mg synthroid and it's just not doing it for me. I will try B12 and multi's to see if I feel better. Thanks!

Believe it has been about a month since switching to T4. Its the generic from Hyvee pharmacy. Also take Hyvee vitamin and mineral tablets for people over 50. I will be 56 soon.Argh!!
Haven't had B12 checked, but I know as you get older you don't absorb B12 as well.(Cant afford a lot of blood tests). Just take the extended release B12, and extended release vitamin C. It took a couple of years after RAI to get straightened, cuz you never know when the thyroid is going to take another nose dive. Lol

Hi BM, I'm Cat. I'm confused, I take nature thyroid, which is similar to Armour but a different brand. Is all synthetic thyroid only T4? And when I went to the Hyvee website they show all of their generics as being manufactured by Synthroid. Does that sound right?
I've been on bio identical hormones for about 9 months. I was getting better until I had colon resection surgery this past March. Now I feel like I'm back where I started. I just started B12 sublinguals after my surgeon asks for my blood levels to be checked. Apparently they are low but I don't know the numbers. I'm hoping this helps because I am so sick of being tired! Cat
