I need to stop going to the doctors. Everytime I go it is something new. I go the first time and it hypothyroidism. I try to get that taken care of and the dose was good and now its bad again. I go to docs to get the job physical and my white, red, and platelet come back low. Same day go to a pre op exam with the results from the blood work can't get the surgery....kind of funny because the surgery can help my blood count. Next day in the hemotolgist office. They say could be anything from a viral infection to leukemia more details then that, but to much to write. Now waiting for friday...to get more blood work and more results..."crossing my fingers"...."I guess 30 is over the hill for me....

It reall DOES seem that way sometimes, doesn't it? I researched and studies. asked questions, and became my own advocate before i found my new Dr(relatively, as I have been with him now for 5 years) who finally was willing to work with me, and actually APPRECIATES a patient who learns about her problems. Now, FINALLY, I think we have found the initial problem, and it is (relatively) simple. Gluten intolerance. "All" I have to do is not east wheat, barley, or rye. But I feel better than I have in years.
All I can say is, study, study, study. ANd ask questions. If your Dr does not want you to learn about your problems, then he is probably not the right Dr to help you feel better. Good luck!

I also have a gluten intolerance problem. Have to add oats and a couple of other things to mine, but it took years to discover something so simple when all the facts were there for the Dr, in different places have to admit, but one would think they could put it together, even though they see many patients each day. But hasnt helped my thyroid which has practically gone on holidays, so we have dropped my thyroid meds to try and kick start it working more. Know with next blood tests in a few weeks I guess. Good luck.

good luck. I recently found out that doctors practice medicine by practicing on us. I've spent about 500$ ( i'm in college so that's a lot for me) and the doctors still don't know what's wrong
