when will I feel better?

How long will it take for me to start to feel better. I'm taking the generic for syntroid.I don't know if that matters or not. I thought I felt better after two days but that must have been in my head because two days after that I felt like total crap. I'm just tired of not feeling good.

hi trixie, what is the amount of your medicine? there will be a number on the bottle. Most doctors start out on the low dosage and then gradually go up. My first doctor seems to be the only one that I have heard of that started me on 125mcg.
Are you still taking the supplements for your adrenals? I suggest that you go to the website stopthethyroidmadness.com it can explain a lot.

I'm taking 50 MCG a day. I'm not taking any other supplements except for my One a Day's. The supplements I was taking seemed to stop working after a while, so I quit taking them because the doctor was getting kind of expensive. I've been on the synthroid for five days now and still feeling tired. It seems to be helping my hypoglycemia though.

I am still new to all of this but from what I have read it can take up to eight weeks (I think) for the full effect of the medicine. And then your doctor will see if the dosage needs to be increased. It is hard to wait, but it will get better. Although, I would see about still using the supplements for your adrenal. I have done best since being on them together.
I'm glad that your hypoglycemia has gotten better. If you are every out in the Denver area you could come to the Graves' meeting. Marpo runs it and it helps being with others that at least share a little in common. (I don't have graves', I have hasimoto's) The next meeting is on the 24th of this month. take care
