Advice:
Bruising...should I be concerned?

Hi all, sorry I haven't been contributing as much this week, as I've been on vacation and trying to relax as much as I possibly can. I don't come home til tomorrow, but I'm having a concerning symptom and needed some advice. I have noticed I've been bruising more than normal the past 5 or so months...random bruises here and there. However about 5 days ago I noticed several large bruises on both legs and each day new ones appear. I haven't banged or bumped myself at all. I have them on both legs and arms, almost about 25 of them total...honestly I'm afraid to count them all up. I have mostly small ones, but some large ones. I've read that this can be symptom, but I'm getting pretty concerned. Should I contact my dr? Or has anyone had something similar happend to them?

" I bruise very easily and don't know where I get them most of the time either, as in I don't remember running into anything. Sometimes I feel all I have to do is look at a hrad object and I'll bruise.

I am still very symptomatic too though since my thyroid levels are not up yet. "

" If I were you hon I would try to get your cbc's done. You need a platelet count.I had a problem about 15 years ago where my platelets went really low. It can be another auto immune issue. I went from that to Graves to Hashi's, well I really have both (it can be tricky) I feel pretty good now though...(fingers crossed0 LOL! Don't want to scare you but, bruising was a symptom. "

" I bruise really easily and although I'm on warfarin which is obviously not helping the matter, I do notice it changes with fluctuations in my thyroid levels. I agree with getting it checked out, even things like anemia can cause you to bruise easier. Hope all goes well! "

" I'm bruising like mad too. Never had this problem before. I am also anemic. "
