Advice:
Finding a decent doctor

This group isn't exactly cooking but I'm going to try to ask a question or two anyhow.
I've NO insurance. That's for starters. I went to a gen. doctor and he gave me a Rx after tests came back (telling me what I already knew).
Now I've got to find a Dr. and you guys obviouslly aren't gonna be of much use to me because you're on Androgel. I'm getting a compounding Pharmacy to make me up a Rx Testosterone cream. It's going to cost me $164 bucks a month. That price is "out-of-pocket" and is going to kill me. I'm seriously thinking of going black market as although there are risks galore, it might prove more positive in the long run than this legit thing.
Cheers

" I think finding a decent doctor is the hardest part of getting treatment. My husband has been to three different ones, a GP, a urologist, and an endocrinologist. The endocrinologist has been the best one so far, but I'm not real happy with him either. Did you try going back to the doctor who put you on the current testosterone and let him know that you cannot afford to use it. Some doctors will try to work with you to find the most effective & economical treatment. If you don't think he would be willing to help in that way, then I would definitely look for another one. I would not try the black market stuff. A fellow in another support group I'm in almost had a heart attack because he tried something from off the internet. I sure feel for you. It is really hard to afford any kind of prescription now days if you do not have insurance. I hope this information helps. "

" The company that makes Androgel has a prescriptions assistance program, but since you aren't taking that....

I recommend that people go with IM injections. If you do your own injections it costs $25-35 per month if you don't go through their drug assistance program. Testosterone Cypionate and Testosterone Enanthate are the top 2 injectables.

Black market: going to Mexico to get the real stuff is a million times better than ordering T online. It's the real stuff there and you have a reasonable assurance of safety as it's the same brands as the US. "
