these 6-8 small meals a day are not satisfying me. I've cut out most of the sugar and simple carbs and am eating probably the same amount just spread out over the day but for some reason it's driving me crazy. All I think about is my next meal/snack. I'm new to this so I hope it's just an adjustment period. But so far I HATE this diet and I hate that Halloween is coming up and I can have NOTHING!!!!! NADA! ZIP! Ugh... sorry I'm feeling really sorry for myself today.

" Ugh I know how you feel! That's how I was like at the beginning too. Do you mind posting what you eat every day?

It's weird, because now I'm starting to go back into my old habits - forgetting to eat for long stretches and pigging out later on. I'm feeling the bad, bad effects too...I need to get back into the swing!

It's vital that you don't go hungry and that you have enough energy to last you throughout the day, otherwise it's not doing you any favours. "

" I know exactly how you feel. I thought I would starve to death and I was losing a lot of weight in the beginning. The next meal could never come soon enough. This is normal in the beginning but I agree with "everythingsokay" post too. What are you eating and maybe it isn't enough? "

" Here's basically what I've been eating everyday
(with 2/3 hour intervals inbetween):
- 1 slice whole wheat toast with organic cashew butter.
- 1/2 cup organic 1% cottage cheese.
- Amy's Brown Rice & Veggies Lunch EntreƩ.
- Handful of almonds.
- 5 cherry tomatoes and 1 Laughing Cow Light Baybel Cheese wheel.
- Bowl of Split Pea Soup.
- 8 brown rice crackers with humus.
My calories intake is not low or anything - I just feel deprived and hungry all the time because I'm never fully satisfied. ARGGGGGG! "

" Sounds like you are eating good things. Are you over weight? Are you losing weight? How long have you been on the diet? I trust this isn't the only thing you eat day in and day out verbatim? "

" No, I'm not over-weight (155, 5'8"). And no, I don't eat exactly this list everyday. It's just an average, because I do eat a lot of the same things most days, like nuts, tomatoes and humus. :)

I've been on this diet for 2 weeks now and I have noticed a little weight loss - 3lbs. I have also noticed that I'm not starving like I was last week. I think my tummy has shrunk since I'm not eating large meals anymore. My cravings have gone down a lot too. I used to NEED sugar but now I don't think about it as obsessively as I used to. I still want to put my face in a bowl of spaghetti or a baked potato tho... but maybe that'll lessen too. "
