Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) Support Group

There has been a lot of scammer/spammer activity on DS lately.

I've heard that some people have given their email addy out and are now being asked for money.

These are two that I know of:

There are many others actively "working" the DS site. DS doesn't have any sort of alert system so feel free to copy this and post in your other groups. We need to get the word out.

For those not familiar w/how they work, they are usually from another county, write in varying degrees of broken English, want you to contact them OFF DS by exchanging emails. Those who either want to be friends, parent figure or a romantic interest, usually won't ask for money in the first contact.

However, there is another group of scammers who claim to be attorneys or diplomats who have large sums of money that need to be "extradited" from their country and will gladly share it with you if you help them.

IMPORTANT:

If in doubt, another good indication is that their profiles will have just been opened a day or two before you receiving the pm/hug. And their profiles will be relatively empty - no groups, no friends.

If you get a pm or a hug asking for your email addy, do NOT give it. Please report all to DS. Copy & paste into form on this link.

and DO NOT ERASE the PM or HUG as DS WILL look at it and probably delete it for you once they've banned the scammer.
