I was wondering if there was anyone else out there that has a young child with hypoglycemia and how you deal with them. I noticed symptoms in my youngest when she was still just a nursing baby and they have become more apparent as she has grown. She is now two years old. My ten year old has been tested and it came back that she also has it. It is just more severe in my two year old.
Yesterday she had an episode when we came back from a two hour trip to the library. When we got home she was screaming and yelling and running away from everyone. I quickly got some food heated up and started to feed her. I also got her a protein drink. She soon settled down and was smiling and giggling like her normal self. I usually make sure I have good snaking foods for her where ever we go, but if I forget to give her some this is what happens.
