i have read chromium is helpful for balancing lbs, so i bought some 400 mcg and today tried it. i also bought some benefiber since having lots of fiber helps too. but i was wondering what else is out there. what supplements do you take? i have anxiety and a.d.d. symptoms and i seriously beleive its the hypoglycemia. so now that i'm back on track with eating right, i want to feel good again and get all the right vitamins and minerals that might be useful to me. when i asked my doc she said just take a multi vitamin, but i've had other doctors tell me its better to take multiple vitamins bc sometimes you get more than you need or not enough from a multi vitamin. also, what about valerian root. does that help with anxiety? i really don't want to go to pharmaceuticals again, they only make me feel worse. the only thing that helps is a sugar free, dairy free, and gluten free diet. so, what i eat is pretty limited. i don't know why it is but for some reason when i stay away from dairy and gluten i feel a lot more clear headed, and the excema on my feet clears up too.

try inosito! it works great for anxiety and OCD, but not sure about a.d.d. It helps with depression and helps me think better too. Only downfall for me is it makes me physically less stamina, but maybe that is due to LBS too. I took chromium and inositol and felt great, but now I'm not taking anything while I try the low carb diet for a while.

Oh, and another thing.
I've tried fish oil on and off for a couple of years now, and I am almost 100% sure that EPA in fish exacerbates my hypoglycemia. I think it amplifies insulin or something. It's weird though, for a day or two I feel a little better, than whammo! It hits me like a ton of bricks and I crash hard, feel overly irritable, and am more anxious than normal...What a fricken disease, huh?

I am taking a good b-complex with extra panothenic acid for my tired adrenals. I also take a little extra b-2 and b-6. Since hypoglycemia impacts adrenals, it seems reasonable that nutrients that help our bodies during stress would also help the hypoglycemic. But taking too much can be a problem. At first I took to much b-complex and it made me sick. Now I follow the recommended doses (duh!) and they work better :) I read that b-2 helps with sugar cravings and my cravings have been minimal.

how does B complex make you sick Debra?
When i took B complex, it made my hypoglycemia worse. Maybe I'm supersensitive and need to take less. Any ideas? Thanks

BTW, I just added Iosol Iodine as a supplement, and it seems to really be helping with energy. I've been taking it for about a week now and I feel like I'm getting my old strength back.
I never really lost my strength, but I just "felt" like I did, if that makes sense?
