Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) Support Group

A ning is a social network.
What makes a ning extremely usefull is the amount of resources you can have in a single page. You can have a forum, real live chat, webcam chat or broadcasting, article, picture and video archive, blogs.
You can create a very active and extremely interactive community with a ning.

There a lot of people who suffer (at various degrees) from hypoglycemia (mostly reactive hypoglycemia) and when they search the web all they feel is loneliness and desolation because the majority of groups and forums have been inactive for years and most websites have not be updated for years.

Finding resources for hypoglycemia and real life people to ask advices, share recipes and get comfort and help is a struggle and I know too well how hard if not impossible is to make complex researches on the web looking for something "rare" when you're suffering from mental confusion and brain fog.

Just few days ago I found a new resource.
A person suffering from hypoglycemia and chronic fatigue syndrome.
In the website he says he feels great and has found a solution.
There's a website and a blog and few articles that trigger more questions than anything else. But this person can't be contact.
The email is not valid. The last blog message is from 2005, with an average of 1 blog post every year. The website haven't been updated since 2006. The questions others asked in the blog have never been answered. When you see this all you feel is desolation and loneliness.

That's why I thought I want to create a ning about hypoglycemia, something that someone suffering from this devastating disease can find immediately, a place where a sufferer can have his/her questions and email answered in few hours, a place were to archive articles from various sufferers, where to chat daily and broadcast interesting educational videos about hypoglycemia, where people can tell their stories and share their ideas and post recipes and where everything can be archived and found immediately.
A live uptodate active community for hypoglycemics.

I'm not trying to compete with other resources like daily strength or yahoo groups. I think the more resources the better but I really believe the creation of a ning for hypoglycemic can be a good and positive things and of help for lot of people, myself included since I have lot to learn and I'm still a work in progress.
