" What is the grain? Whole grain bread would be good IF IF IF it is a grain other than wheat, barley, rye, and oats. I would think it would be considered a complex carb, but I'm not sure. "

" i'D ALMOST BET THAT IT CONTAINS ALL OF THE GLUTEN CONTAINING GRAINS, PLUS SOME SAFE ONES. READ YOUR INGREDIENT LIST. (That goes for all your food.) It should list every grain in there, plus at the end where they list allergens, wheat might be the only one listed, because it is probably the only grain that is among the 8 or 10 allergens that MUST be listed.

Flaxseed Meal is a good source of fiber, plus it has MANY other good healthful qualities. It can be mixed in other foods, sprinkled over cereal, plus it can replace a small amount of other GF flour in your recipes. Hubby and I both use it in various ways.

I started to buy some Ezekiel Bread once, and learned it has sprouted wheat seed in it, and that won't work on a GF diet. It's very healthful, but not for Celiacs. "

" I forgot to mention the "trial & error" statement. Trial & error comes only after reading the ingredient list ON EVERYTHING!! I DON'T THINK WE CAN EMPHASIZE THAT ENOUGH. At the very least, read the allergens list just below the ingredient list. But It's MUCH SAFER TO READ THE WHOLE LIST. "

" whole grain bread and whole wheat bread are the only kinds of breads that my body will allow me to eat because of hypoglycemia. i would imagine that they are the same for you. "
