i still cannot get back on track. there is cereal in the house and i just wake up and eat a bowl of it, knowing i shouldn't. i should opt for eggs instead. but its so much easier to make cereal when you have two little kids rushing you through your day. oh, but now i'm paying for it. this has been going on for weeks. i'm getting so worn down. i feel lethargic. depressed. confused. and i'm back on the sugar rollercoaster, full swing. i need help to get off, but i just can't make it happen for myself. sugar addictions are serious addictions i think. i just can't say no, and i can't have just one. i feel so dizzy. i wish there was a sugar rehab.

" Took me a while to get off the rollercoaster. After it beat me down for awhile, I finally gave up and just did what I had to do. Just got tired of feeling lousy. Remember, not only do you feel lousy but your body is really stressed out by being unstable. That leaves you open to other problems. Knowing that can be motivating. Good luck! "

" Toss the cereal you have out, and buy non-sweetened cereal, and then use a sugar substitute (Stevia, Truvia, or Splenda) to sweeten it. If you don't have the stuff you shouldn't eat in the house, you won't be tempted. By the way, the unsweetened cereals are MUCH BETTER FOR YOUR KIDS ALSO !! Are you sure you aren't using the kids as an excuse to have this stuff in the house? Whole grain cereals are supposed to be good for you - just buy the kinds that DON'T HAVE SUGAR ALREADY IN THEM !!

Your children are developing their eating habits now - do you want them to fall into the same trap you have????? My daughter gave her 3 kids cereal without any sugar over 30 years ago, and I thought that was awful, then. Now I know she was wise - the kids were used to it, and didn't notice the difference !! True story!!! It can work for you, too!! No excuses - just DO IT !!! "

" My advice is to get some of those Jimmy Dean Breakfast Bowls or breakfast sandwiches or make some breakfast burritos and stick them in the freezer. Or a piece of whole grain toast with peanut butter. All of these have lots of protein and they're quick. I know how it is. I have a 34 mo. old and a 9 mo. old who is still nursing and always wants to nurse first thing in the morning. And I never want to take the time to make an egg or something. hope this helps. "

" It helped when I started to see sugar as poison. Literally. I have 3 teens, they had a problem with it at first when I refused to by ANY cereal, but they got over it. Tastes for sugar CAN BE CHANGED. Mentally commit yourself and stick to it. Write down everthing you eat for two weeks. Look at the carbs and sugar. Replace the junk food with fruits and veggies. Write down how you feel each day, and get support at DS when you don't feel well. Try something new, you may like it!! Sugar really is poison, and it is killing people. "

" I have a Lean Pocket every day for breakfast. I really only like the Turkey, Broccoli and Cheese kind for breakfast, don't care for the cheese in the ham & cheese or turkey & cheese alone- but it is protein and a satisfying hot breakfast. Also keep hard boiled eggs around- on those days you are in a hurry you can throw one in your bag and eat it on the go. I think we need to rethink breakfast- they say you should eat your biggest meals early in the day- but since we don't have time to make a big meal, try a non-traditional breakfast item, like Hot Pockets or Lean Pockets, or just keep some sandwiches in the refrigerator so they are ready to grab for breakfast!
