hi all, just joined as doc suspects hypoglycemia. I've just started cutting out simple carbs. The highlight of yesterday was having 2 small new potatoes with my dinner and not being affected by them. whoopee i so enjoyed them.

Anyway I've joined a website won't say name in case i'm not allowed and it seems I am way down on my calorie intake which sits at around the 1000 mark. I am a slim person 5ft 8 and weigh just under 9 stone.

I'm worried about eating 2000 calories a day and am not sure what fat percentage I should be eating. I know it should only be good fats so the things which come to mind which are fatty and that i've been eating are:-

feta cheese, soya nuts, soya milk, sunflower spread. & thats about it.

I do not eat dairy as i found a huge difference in my eczema if i dont any ideas and suggestions would be great many thanks j

" Congrats on the improvements to your diet and health. I don't know your height and weight but I've always heard that you shouldn't consume less than 1200 cal/day. I've gotten most of my help from reading books on nutrition (just general nutrition) and learning what simple and complex carbs are. I also learned the difference between the different types of fats: mono, poly, saturated, and trans -though I couldn't tell you the difference now. "
