i was officially diagnosed today after my GTT showed my blood level dropping to 47. so, the whole reason i got tested in the first place is because of mood swings. i get this dazed, tired, slow thinking depressed feeling, and then irritable and anxious. i've been trying so hard to eat lots of protien, like lentil soups and fish and veggies, but even still i get into the daze feeling. the only thing that makes me feel good is if i fast and only eat protiens, even fruit seems to mess me up..what can i do? its so hard to stay away from the foods i love. i can't buy a book about hypoglycemia right now bc of financial situation. i just need some advice. is this normal? how long will this last? what exactly can i eat?

" For a week or 2 you should eat just protein every 2 hours including just before bed and just after you get up. Once through these 2 weeks ou will feel better and then you can start to add in whole grains, etc. If symptoms return back off the carbs. Only through experimenting can you find out how many carbs/day work for you, as well as what eating interval works best. "
