I have hyper not hypo and was told I had hypo in may, I finally got to see an endocrinologist today it took 3 months. They put me on methimazole. I started today. Will I ever not be tired & will I ever have energy? :(

Yes in August you were still at the higher part of the range but you can begin to go lower after awhile. With Graves you have to lab every 6 weeks anyway to make sure you're on the right track with the dosing. How will you know if you have to wait till December? My old endo did this to me and I got rid of him finally last year. He had no idea how to dose the Methimazole. You have to be monitored carefully, we've all been there and done that, so we've learned.

p.s sometimes the methimazole will make your joints/muscles hurt but sometimes it's just the swing of labs that can do it.Most say they have joint pain, either hyper or hypo. I have it when I am on the downslide to more hypo.
