Could I have hyperparathyroidism?

Hi there,

that´s Patrick,25,from Germany.

For about 4 months now I suffer from a range of symptoms that drive me mad.

weakness of the whole body (although its a bit more noticable left)
problems with balance and coordination which I relate to the weakness
muscle shaking and jittering
fatigue,tiredness
hair loss
depression
sleeping problems
muscle twitching

just to name a few

I have been to many doctors including specialists and neuro´s to exclude several diseases. No one found anything. It seems to be nothing neurological so far.Sarcoidosis would be an option but my last chest x ray was clean so it´s unlikly. No I wonder if it could be hyperparathyroidism.

many symptoms would match it,and my calcium is always high to elevated. But my PTH is just around 53 which does not fit classic HPT.

So would do you think, could I eventually have it?? And if yes what test´s could I additionally run to make it more sure?

thx for your help

best wishes

Patrick

" Hi Patrick from Germany: I am not a doctor, but have you been checked for Parkinson's disease or Multiple sclerosis? There are other diseases of the pituitary gland that you should have checked. Find a good endocrinologist and have more testing done. Good luck to you. Remember too that stress causes a lot of symptoms. Mish "
