Hello, I am having MIRP surgery on 9/11 to remove one parthyroid.
I had a very bad experience with an ultrasound and want to know if anybody else has had an ultrasound? The tech must have been having a bad day and I paid more than money for this test! There was a surge of PTH after the rough treatment. I felt fine before this test and now suffer fatigue & bone pain. Just be aware and ask them to treat you with care.. I have viewed all of my test but the tech must still live in the dark ages. She asked if I were qualified to understand the images and the radiologist was to busy to talk to me (I asked to speak with her mgr) How rude to say those things and I was very surprised that I would be treated like that. A simple request turned into insults and me she pushed so hard that I was gaged. The next day I could not swallow easy and my neck was very sore. within 24 hrs the fatigue and bone pain started - my surgeon confirmed that you can manually manipulate the tumor and he did not touch my neck. I am a little scared to have the surgery but it will make my life so much better. I am reaching out to anyone who can provide a litte support to me.
