Hi, I am really new here. I've been having issues with my thyroid for a couple years now. I used to live in Washington State and was told by the specialist there I had thyroid cancer. So, when I moved to California I wanted to get it taken care of asap. The doctor ran the typical T4 and all of the other Thyroid function tests and they came back with in normal range. I just recently had the calicum levels checked and it was high. Along with the other lab they pulled. I went in for my ultrasound in January and it was confirmed my thyroid was enlarged. The Endocrinologist said it was the right side that was enlarged but the left side appeared to be normal. Now, I seriously cannot eat without feeling my thyroid and haven't for a year now. It's like there is a crab apple in my throat constantly. I feel pressure all the way up my right side of my face and into my ear. It's just irritating. You'd think the doctor would be a little more concerned with removal of the thyroid. Just seems to be taking his sweet merry time. Anyone have similar experience? I have Kaiser by the way.
