Hello,
Could somebody tell me if there's a chance I have Hyperparathyroidism ? Symptoms: Feeling tired all the time, depressed, not motivated, some muscle pains... Calcium: 2.52 mmol/L 100.8 mg/L Phosphorus: 1.39 mmol/L 43 mg/L Vit. D: 9 ng/mL PTH: 53 pg/mL My Calcium, Phosphorus and PTH levels are all in the 'High' side of the normal range while my Vitamin D level is really low. Since Calcium and PTH levels are still somewhat in the normal range, could I still have Hyperparathyroidism ? Thanks !! Posted on 05/21/09, 06:05 am |

Hello
Have you had a scan to confirm the test results? I have just been scheduled to have MIRP for a parathyroid that is overactive. It has been test after test for me. The calcium is 10.9 and PTH 82 and the ultrasound shows a 13mm adenoma. I have never been sick and even a cold is rare. I went to my family doctor because of job stress and now scheduled for surgery. I am sort of scared to have somebody cut my neck but there is clearly a need to do this. Take care of yourself! Anne FinCastle
