" I used to get these all the time as a kid. Not as much anymore. But mine would be SO bad I would just scream for half an hour sometimes. I found that to control it (some people say walk it off but mine were always too bad to walk on) I had to breath. One thing that makes ours muscles cramp up is not enough oxygen and when we get a cramp we tend to breath even less like holding our breath while in pain. If you've ever been in labor, breath like you did then. Long, deep, steady breaths. Also, Ive noticed that when I do not get enough potassium (I'm allergic to bananas) I get more leg cramps. Might try taking a potassium supplement. "

" Oh, and if you can't walk it off, you can try sitting on the bed and extending your leg out all the way in front of you with your toe pointed toward the ceiling and pulling on your toes and the upper part of your foot so it comes toward you. You'll get that feeling like it's stretching our your calf muscle. "
