Does anyone else have this as their main symptom? If I stand for more than 30 minutes, I can hardly stand it. The pain is so severe sometimes. It NEVER stops hurting, though the severity of it changes depending on what activities I'm doing. Does anyone know of any helpful remedies? Now I use a combination of pain killers and icy hot lotion to dull the pain. THanks!! =)

I just started having lower back pain but it is not as severe as yours my shoulders are the worst. As long as I do not do anything I can deal with it.
Have you check into a back brace you back maybe moving and your muscles are spasming. Just a thought you may want to check into it. Hugs Marsha

yep.. had this for about 2/3 years now i guess... didnt think anythin of it till i read this post to be honest..
only thing thats helped is adjusting your seated posture.. try to sit as high as possible and hence extending your spine. this should also strenghten the right muscles to help stop the pain :) good luck x

I worked at a chiropractic clinic and I found that chiropractic adjustment and electric therapy helped my back pain alot.

My back is my worst area. What I do - good seats, good mattress. Also, exercises to strengthen the abdominal muscles and back muscles. Without that, I'd probably be in even more pain. However, if spasms are a big part of it, the solution might be quite different.

I can't stand in a queue at the checkout anymore. A few times I have burst into tears! Very embarrassing. It is really difficult having an "invisible' disability. I ask my hubby to pack the shopping now while I find a seat.
I also burst into tears when I couldn't stand in a queue for the post office the other day. Hubby does this now too. I have to sit down whenI am pealing vegetables. I know you are in pain and I feel for you. x

Hi there,
You should look into prolotherapy. A year of this cured me of my EXCRUCIATING low back pain (due to hypermobility). Hope this helps! With lots of caring, Orchid

I am the same, I can't stand up for long periods and first thing in the morning I always use a heat pack on my back for an hour whilst at work then it feels abit better. I find massage and acupuncture helps but I have to have them every week almost. It sucks bigtime. My back is my worst point too but also my neck/shoulder area isn't too good.
