i'm not going to say i've tried everything, but i've tried a lot.
recently discovering acupuncture didn't work really made me realize how hard this is to deal with. i've tried: drysol. the drionic machine. acupuncture. clincial deodorants. and now oral medication. i was so excited the 3rd day when my hands, feet and armpits just completley stopped sweating. but today, the 4th day i woke up and they were sweating horribly. i feel like i've run out of options. i'm scared of the botox. and my parent's won't allow the surgery because i'm only 15. has anyone tried anything else that has worked for them? or any advice on the botox or surgery. pros and cons. i'm so sick of feeling depressed and not being able to do anything that other kids in my school can do. help please. :( Posted on 09/08/09, 07:09 pm |

What kind of oral medication are you taking? My dermatologist prescribed Robinul for me and it works great!

Hi!
My name is Kara and I am a 29 yr old with the same affliction. I have tried many things as well but the oral medication (robinul) finally worked for me and it is so freeing! I don't know what oral med you are on but I find with mine it only works when taken on an empty stomach (4 hrs after eating and waiting 1 hr after taking it to eat again). It seems extreme but it is so very worth it. It can cause constipation but extra fiber in the diet takes care of that. I have also recently started therapy to deal with the anxiety this issue has produced in my life and that has been a great component to my treatment. Please ask any questions that you would like as I have suffered from this for 20 yrs and would love to try and answer any questions on the medication etc. Kara
