Hello everyone. I don't even know where to start, but my hyperhydrosis has really become embarassing. I have dealt with this since childhood, and have tried just about every deoderant/antiperperant out there (including clinical strength and the natural crystals) - I have tried powders and corn starch and even diaper rash creams. But nothing has proven to be effective. So what now ??

" Hello, may I suggest that for three days you drink alot of water followed by alot of carido to flush your system. While you are doing this obtain a script for robinul fortee 2mg. take it in the morning chew the pill in your mouth so some of the medication can be ubsurbed sublinguly. I know it will tast bad but who care when you want the sweat to stop.and see how it helps. Depending on your weight you can increase the dosage not to exeed 6mg for those above 220 pounds and 4 1/2 under 220 pounds. I hope that this may be of value to you. please continue to drink alot of water. "

" I tried everything, after 40 yrs of having this I had the ets surgery. It takes only a few days to recover from the surgery, I played tennis two days after the surgery.

The sweaty palms were gone immediately. I was fortunate that insurance paid for it. It is a solution that worked for me. I wish I had done it sooner. It can really damage your self esteem. I know now that you shouldn't let it, regardless of whether you have the surgery or not. You are normal it's the people who don't understand the problem that are abnormal/inconsiderate. "

" There isn't much out there evidently that we know of. It seems like Botox, Odaban, Drysol and surgery are the only things I've seen so far. I wanted to try the surgery but I don't have any insurance and there is no way I could afford it. I would have to check on the side affects though, my niece had it done and has back issues now....she said she almost wishes she didn't have it. I don't know, I may have to check into it.

What kind do you suffer with, if you don't mind my asking? I have developed whole body. It started out as axillary and exploded from there. A big problem for me is my stomach area or torso. Often my jeans are soaked at the waist. Plus It soaks my bra, underwear and shirts. Yes, it really sucks! When I really get going it pours out of my body like rain. I have to lay on my bed, strip off my clothes and just let my body rain. It can get really bad for me. Suicidal even. Thankfully, I must be getting past those extremely stressful times, It hasn't rained out of me like that in awhile. It was so bad. My husband didn't even believe this was happening to me unitl I showed him one day. He was making fun of a lady on a talk show and said it was just in her mind. I exploded at him when he said that, lifted up my shirt and let him watch it rain. I asked him if it was just in my head? He believes me now and I quit hiding it, it was useless. I'm still really embarraced to be around people but I have come to accept it somewhat. At least I don't want to commit suicide because of it anymore. I'm just trying to learn how to cope with it. I'm not out there much though in society. I don't work and I don't really socialize. I have very few friends. Only one that comes and sees me know and then. I don't know if my disability will be approved. It takes years to get. Unfortunetly, society must not think this is a bad enough issue to help people with. They don't care how we feel, think or act because of it. They don't realize how mentally disabling this condition can be.

Good luck to you and if you want to talk, I'm here. That goes for anyone in the support group. "
