I just got tested on Tuesday. I had a radical change in mind about getting the testing done. Decided that I just needed to get it done.

hi! it depends where your getting tested. i live in vancouver and its about 6 weeks (depending on how busy they are and how soon you can come in for the appointments). I hope things work out for you. I have decided not to get tested at this time, although i'm only 22 and have quite a few years before any symptoms will show. :)

HI, MY WIFE'S TOOK 4 WEEKS & THAT WAS JUST THE NEXT AVAIALBE APPOINTMENT, THE DOC. USALLY WANTS TO DISCUSS FACE TO FACE. IT IS GOOD YOU BEING TESTED EARLY TO KNOW EXACTLY HOW TO HANDLE YOUR OWN UNIQUE LIFE. I PRAY THINGS WILL BE GOOD FOR YOU, AND REMEMBER THERE IS HELP HERE. I KNOW THAT THE WAITING WILL SEEM LIKE FOREVER BUT BE PAITENT & PRAY. CALL YOUR DOCTORS OFFICE & FIND OUT FROM THEM EXACTLY HOW SOON YOU WILL BE CONTACTED WITH RESULTS

Thanks guys! It's been about a week and a half now. I got a call from the doctor's office and they said they dont' know exactly when the results will be in. Buuuuutt at least I am a week and a half closer to knowing! I will post again when I find out. Thank you all for the support.

...when I got tested back in 2000 it took about 2-3 weeks...I don't know if my HD doc knew someone or what...I will be praying for you...

Denise- actually you do have a fairly good idea, if you know the number of your infected parents CAG repeats. Knowledge is power :)

...my dad's was 43, mine is 43 also...my sis is 47 and my dad's dad died when he was 85...not sure of the CAG repeat...think it was 38 or something like that...my aunt and 1 cousin have tested positive...not sure of repeat info...I have 6 kids, all adults, none are symptomatic or tested...
