Can anyone suggest math for beginners up to middle school aged children/boys. My boys struggle, or should I say "we" struggle with this subject. My girls caught on and just went with it. But I feel maybe I'm not sharing it with my boys in a way they understand, or they need something different. But what? Any help?? I would certainly be grateful. ;)

I use a workbook called " The complete book of Math" The work book I am using to teach both my middle school grandchildren, is a series of workbooks from preschool to 9th grade. Each book explains in detail how to do the math equations. My ADHA grandson was struggling with his math until I began to uses these workbook series .
Although some Walmarts carrie this series, I bought at Hastings book store, or you can look up School Specialtry publishing online for more details , Hope this helps!

I have a nine yr old daughter that also struggled in math. This yr I used Abeka because it is very repetitive. She has done VERY well.

Thank you!! I have tried Abeka, with my girls and they did well with it. I also used Alpha Omega, which was a bit too much. I will look up the Complete Book of Math and see what my boys think of that. I appreciate you sharing with me, camhei and bjengle. I hope you both have a great week ahead!!
