Is this a group for ppl supporting others in their homeschooling descision, or a group for ppl who are *forced* to homeschool & dislike it, so they want to talk to other ppl who feel the same way...? I think I was mistaken when I joined this group, because now it seems like most ppl are saying "keep on homeschooling" type stuff. The only thing I don't like about homeschooling is that I feel so isolated...other than that it is great. Should I leave this group or what?! What ppl was this group made for?

I think the group is for people involved in homeschooling to talk about issues they want to discuss. If you don't like it, I would like to hear what you have to say. How long have you Hs'ed and how are you doing it, and what don't you like about it (and like, if anything)?

I too would love to hear your pov on homeschool. Right now I am reading books and looking into local homeschool support groups so that I can make an informed decision. My daughter will be 3 in April so she doesn't have to start yet but I don't want to rush on my decision so I am starting early. We live in Texas which is known as a homeschool friendly state. We don't have standardized testing, we don't have to inform anyone of what we are doing.
~What age/grade did you start homeschooling? ~What can you see as the advantages of homeschooling? ~What can you see as the disadvantages of homeschooling? ~Overall, do you wish you would have been put in public school or was homeschooling okay? ~How do your parents feel it has affected your social life? ~How do you feel it has effected your social life? ~Is your curriculum religous based? ~How do you feel you compare academically to others your age?
