okay i just wanted to introduce my self to every one my name is amy and i am 28
they told me that it takes 5 years before i can be counted as in remition and i got 2 years left to go

i was in 6 mths of chemo and 2 mths of radiation
i was a type 4
they did biopsy's and they were finding nothing all the docs were scared cause it was near the left lung near the heart

they decided to do open biopsy and with that they were able to remove most of it and take me down to a type 2
i still get scared to go to my oncologist cause i don't ever want to go through that again
i lost most of my lung in the biopsy
also i wanted to let others know that sometimes it can be the smallest symptoms and end up being something major
i read up on signs of the hodgkins and i had some of the RARE signs
for instance when i tried to dring a small amount of alchol i got extreme pain in my neck sholders all the way through the sholder blades
also i was seeing a dermitoligist for a itching problem they told me i had eczema then while in chemo i found out that another sign of the hodgkins is itchy skin

for other listening right now take some of the most pathetic things to your doctor and get answers cause something like eczema or the pain with alchol can actually be something huge and can mean costing your life

also if anyone needs support and friend while going through treatments or just want someone they can talk to you can be out of treatments to just message me i will be there to listen and help where i can

" Hi Amy,
I'm not a HL patient/survivor but I am the wife of one. I have been all over the internet trying to find support. My husband was diagnosed 10 years, stage IIIB. He had rad/chemo for quite a long time. Since, it has come back twice but we caught it early. Currently, we are going through it again but i fear it's much more serious. He found a mass on his tonsil almost A YEAR AGO! He showed me in May and I was so upset that he'd waited that long (still am). Nevertheless, I made his appointments and tomorrow he will have surgery to determine his diagnosis. I'm a wreck. We have 3 kids and are in our mid-thirties. I am on the verge of tears all day long but can only cry in the shower because I don't want anyone to see me. Anyway, thanks for listening (reading). R "
